Why Should I Have a Facial Laser Treatment?
Do you want to make your skin have a fresher and younger appearance? The easiest way to reduce the signs of aging is to accelerate your skin’s normal self-rejuvenation process of shedding and renewal. Lasers are ideal for this renewal process because they evenly and precisely target the dull, damaged layers of skin without chemicals and without abrasion. Your deeper, younger layers of skin are instantly revealed. Over the next one to six months after your treatment, your skin’s natural healing response is stimulated, and you will develop smoother, tighter, and more vibrant skin.
No one wants age spots, but what causes them? Age spots are the result of sun damage to the skin. They are an unfortunate side effect of tanning. When you are exposed to sunlight, your skin responds to ultraviolet radiation by producing melanin, a pigment that protects the skin from burning. After years of sun exposure, your skin will produce melanin unevenly, making the skin darker in some places. This uneven skin pigmentation makes you look older. Lasers can be used to target these pigments and reduce unwanted and unsightly pigments.
What are the Different Types of Laser Treatments for Facial Rejuvenation?
The two most popular laser rejuvenation procedures for the face are the Essent Rejuvenator and the Essent Age Eraser. Our professional staff will help guide you to the correct treatment for your skin and goals. In general, if your primary concern is uneven pigmentation, we love the Rejuvenator. If your primary concern is wrinkling and pore size, then we recommend the Eraser. Many clients will use both of these treatments in a customized treatment plan.

I only trust Meg Dougherty for my injectables! I've been going to her for 2+ years now and wouldn't see anyone else. Meg has been working across Delaware County and the mainline for many years now, but recently heard of her through a friend. Before going to Meg, I usually went to a prominent salon and spa in the area. Not that they weren't good but they didn't offer the consultative touch that Meg provides. I have been to several dermatology spas up and down the Main Line and I can honestly say, Essent Spa has the best aesthetician, Julie. Julie has been helping me for about a year now. Typical complaints from a 50+ woman, wrinkles appearing, dark spots, a bit of rosacea etc. Most places suggest Botox & Fillers as their go to but Julie analysis my skin and gets to know my personality then formulates a plan. I am pleasantly surprised after the result from each visit. She has never pushed me towards expensive treatments. Julie with Essent is amazing! I was apprehensive about Botox and similar services - I don’t want to look fake, overly injected the way others do. Because Julie is not only a licensed cosmetologist but also a RN, she gave me the confidence to take the plunge and I will never look back! We first started w/Botox and then the Vampire Facial. No one (not even my husband) has asked me if I have had anything “done” but I get many compliments on my skin regularly and I love the way I look.

This was my first time doing a laser hair removal treatment after years of uncomfortable ingrown hairs so needless to say I was very nervous. Julie was very gentle with the process and calmly explained everything she would be doing and would make sure to ask if I was okay if she noticed I was uncomfortable. 10/10 would recommend

Look no further, THIS SPA IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The massages are heavenly and the facials are the best! [I even brought my daughter in for her first facial - I wanted it to be done right! Thank you, Dr. Alison!] While there are a handful of nice spas on the Main Line, this really is a class above; gorgeous decor, truly RESORT-class! I usually only get massages on vacation and this definitely has that vibe. Check out the pictures! They made me feel incredibly comfortable during the procedure and they are extremely nice. Dr. Alison was very honest in regards to how the procedure would feel like before it happened, and how it would feel afterwards - so I knew exactly what to expect. Dr. Alison and her assistant were with me during the entire time I was there, talking to me and making sure I was comfortable and distracted during the Sculpsure procedure. I wouldn't trust anyone else, Essent Spa is THE BEST place to have your Sculpsure done!
